What began as a small wrestling program has grown into an established training academy, providing opportunities for athletes of all ages and experience levels to develop their skills in a structured, competitive, and supportive environment.
Under consistent leadership since its inception, SWA has built a strong foundation of experienced coaches, dedicated families, and committed athletes who share a common goal: pursuing excellence both on and off the wrestling mat.
With a coaching staff of more than 10 experienced individuals, Siouxland Wrestling Academy emphasizes technical development, discipline, accountability, mental toughness, and a strong work ethic. Our coaches are committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential, regardless of their starting skill level or competitive aspirations.
During the inaugural 2017-2018 season, SWA welcomed 55 athletes. By the 2024-2025 season, annual participation had grown to 159 wrestlers, representing nearly a 189% increase in enrollment.
This consistent growth reflects the confidence families place in our coaching staff, the quality of our training programs, and our commitment to providing a positive experience for young athletes.
As the academy has expanded, so have its training opportunities. SWA offers multiple developmental training groups designed to meet the needs of beginning, intermediate, and advanced wrestlers, ensuring athletes receive age-appropriate instruction and opportunities to progress.

At Siouxland Wrestling Academy, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond the wrestling room. Community involvement, service, and giving back are fundamental parts of our organization's identity.

Collected and donated more than 50 toys to help brighten the holidays for children in need.
Contributed proceeds from SWA apparel sales to support wounded military veterans.
Participated in a local holiday community initiative.
Organized 15 volunteers who dedicated four hours to building beds for children in need.
Collected and donated more than 30 bedding and sheet sets to support local children and families.
Adopted a local military family and provided gift cards and Christmas presents to show appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
Adopted local veterans in nursing homes or rehabilitation centers. Providing them with Christmas gifts, and sharing in holiday cheer.
These initiatives demonstrate our belief that developing great wrestlers also means developing compassionate, responsible, and community-minded young people.
By encouraging our athletes to participate in charitable activities, we help them understand the importance of gratitude, teamwork, generosity, and serving others.
At SWA, wrestling is more than a sport. It is a platform for teaching valuable life lessons that extend well beyond athletic competition.
Our philosophy centers on creating an environment where athletes learn to embrace challenges, overcome adversity, respect their opponents, and understand the value of consistent effort.
We believe that success is not determined solely by medals or championships, but by the personal growth each athlete experiences throughout their wrestling journey.
Whether an athlete is stepping onto the mat for the first time or preparing for high-level competition, our mission remains the same: provide the instruction, encouragement, and opportunities necessary for every wrestler to become the best version of themselves.
As Siouxland Wrestling Academy celebrates a decade of dedication, we remain focused on the continued growth and development of our athletes, facilities, coaching programs, and community partnerships.
Our vision is to provide a sustainable, high-quality wrestling program that will serve Siouxland families for generations to come.
Through continued investment in athlete development, facility improvements, community outreach, and strong relationships with local businesses and supporters, we are committed to building upon the foundation established in 2017.
The success of Siouxland Wrestling Academy would not be possible without the unwavering support of our coaches, athletes, parents, volunteers, sponsors, and the greater Siouxland community.
Together, we are building something that extends far beyond wrestling.
